History of Space Exploration Class Final Presentation Fall 2015
History of Space Exploration students presenting their group assignments from fall semester. They presented storyboards for children's books targeted and bringing space exploration concepts to kids between the ages of 5 - 10. In case you're interested, the assignment summary was as follows: 'This assignment taps into the creative side of the brain a bit more than the previous two historical arguments. The objective is to bring some aspect of space exploration to life via a children's story. More to the point: this assignment pushes you to effectively communicate your message without jargon in an easy-to-access form. You will work in groups of 3 or 4 to develop a storyboard targeted at readers between the ages of 5-10. Just as with your previous assignments, the goal is to tell a compelling story to the reader where the message is clear and the narrative is easy to follow. There are no set topics for this assignment; remember that this type of 'book' may serve as one of the few times children are exposed to space-related topics, so consider carefully the message you want to send.'
