Ocean Sciences Minor

The objective of the Ocean Sciences minor is to broaden students’ perspectives on physical, biological, and chemical processes occurring in the oceans. Courses offered as part of the minor allow students the opportunity to apply the fundamental concepts of chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, ecology, microbial ecology, physics, and mathematics to the study of the oceans and their interaction with the land, crust, and atmosphere.
