5 Year B.S./M.S.

EAS offers a 5-year BS/MS Program.

  • EAS majors may apply to the BS/MS program after completing at least 30 semester credit hours at Georgia Tech with a GPA of at least 3.5.
    • Students should not apply until the semester in which you are graduating
      • For example, if you plan on finishing your BS degree in Spring 2025, when you apply for the BS/MS program, you should list the start semester as "Fall 2025".
      • Once your Online Application for Graduation (OAG) for Undergraduate Students is approved, you will be able to continue with the MS degree (if you were admitted). The term you select for the BS/MS application must be after you have earned your undergraduate degree.
  • Students admitted to the program must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • As part of the program, students may use up to six credit hours of graduate-level course work in the major discipline for both degrees.
  • For the Masters portion of the program, you must register for 21 credit hours (majority of which will be project hours).

Note: EAS funding is not awarded to BS/MS students.

To continue with the BS/MS application, go to https://gradapp.gatech.edu/apply/. As part of the BS/MS application, you will also need to get two letters of recommendation.
